The NFL has revealed which two teams will be participating in the annual Hall of Fame Game in the first game of the league’s preseason in 2020.

This year’s game will feature the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Dallas Cowboys. The game kicks off from Canton, Ohio and is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium.

It’s a fitting matchup, as legendary head coaches Bill Cowher and Jimmy Johnson both will be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as members of the Centennial class. Cowher was a longtime head coach of the Steelers, while Johnson coached the Cowboys and later the Miami Dolphins.

The Hall of Fame Game marks the official start of the NFL season, as it serves as the first contest of the preseason. It will be Pittsburgh’s first time playing since 2015, and Dallas’s first contest since 2017.

Last year’s game featured the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons.
