Nic Scourton is heading to the SEC after 2 years with the Purdue defense. Texas A&M landed the big-time defender via the transfer portal heading into 2024.

The former Purdue pass rusher delivered a dynamic performance in the 2023 season. He led the Big Ten with 10 sacks and finished fourth in the league with 15 TFL during Ryan Walters’ first season as head coach.

Now, Scourton will head to the SEC to team up with new Aggies head coach Mike Elko. 247 Sports had rated Scourton as the top edge prospect in the transfer portal and No. 8 overall player available.

Scourton originally joined Purdue as a 4-star member of the 2022 recruiting class out of Bryan, Texas. He had an immediate impact with the Boilermakers and appeared in 14 games as a true freshman with 2 sacks and 22 total tackles.

This season, the pass rusher was one of the few bright spots on the Boilermaker defense. He leaves a big void behind in West Lafayette but appears poised to make an immediate impact with the Aggies.
