Nicholas Petit-Frere’s season may reportedly be over after suffering a shoulder injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football.
Petit-Frere was originally going to be suspended for 6 games this season for violating the NFL’s gambling policy. The NFL changed its policy on gambling and moved the punishment to a 2-game ban.
Paul Kuharsky reported that Petit-Frere’s injury will require season-ending surgery on Monday. Petit-Frere worked his way back into the starting rotation on the offensive line and took over for Andre Dillard after being reinstated.
Petit-Frere appeared in 3 games before the injury with 2 starts at tackle. After being reinstated by the NFL earlier this year, his season could now be over altogether.
The Tennessee Titans have had some problems on the offensive line this season to say the least. Petit-Frere is now the latest injury to the group.
Petit-Frere started all 16 games that he played in last season. Tennessee plays the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next on Sunday.
