Nicholas Singleton and Penn State did not have the kind of start fans were looking for against Bowling Green. Fortunately, the offense is still operating at a solid level, and the Nittany Lions now — finally — have a lead.
The go-ahead score comes in the 3rd quarter of a game Penn State was favored by 5 touchdowns in. Now, Singleton’s latest touchdown puts the Nittany Lions in front after a spirited start to the game from Bowling Green quarterback Connor Bazelak.
The touchdown is a thing of beauty with Singleton scoring a receiving touchdown out of the backfield. His route was spotless, splitting a pair of defenders in the middle of the field before Drew Allar hit the running back in stride with a pinpoint throw.

Singleton is having another electric outing after rushing for over 100 yards in the season opener. After that touchdown drive, he is now up to 76 yards on 11 carries to go with his 14-yard touchdown reception.
Singleton needs just 10 more yards to eclipse back-to-back games with 100+ yards from scrimmage in what shapes up to be a crucial year for the RB. So far, the arrival of offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki looks to be unlocking Singleton’s explosive ability with the ball in his hands.
