Nick Saban is in rare form on Saturday Night.
During halftime of the B1G Championship Game on FOX, Saban joined the Big Noon Kickoff Crew to talk about Alabama’s chances of making the College Football Playoff.
The segment essentially turned into a lobbying effort from Nick Saban. Saban cited hypothetical point spreads to prove his point that the Tide deserve a spot in the CFP.
Unsurprisingly, the social media world did not react kindly to Saban’s politicking. It will be interesting to see if Saban’s comments have any eventual impact on the committee’s final decision.
If Nick Saban’s lobbying is by some miracle successful, the CFP will have absolutely no credibility. Who cares who’d be favored in a game? Alabama’s best win is vs. Texas, which was mostly without Quinn Ewers. This should not even be a discussion.

Nick Saban the politician during halftime of Big10 Championship
Your team wasn’t good enough this year. It’s ok, you will probably be back next year

Since Nick Saban wants to talk about point spreads can someone remind him they were favored vs LSU and Tennessee and lost both games. It’s absolutely embarrassing to be politicking like this.

So glad Nick Saban is being provided this platform.

We need a live look at the committee in its hotel ballroom taking notes while watching Nick Saban’s halftime stump speech on Fox.

It turns out that fans of other teams don’t love when a coach is provided a platform to lobby to the committee.
