Nick Saban and Ryan Day are two of the prominent figures in college football these days. One is the former legendary head coach turned popular College GameDay analyst, while the other is the reigning national champion head coach.
But on Wednesday, the two are tied together in an entirely different sport. That would be at the Memorial Tournament Pro-Am, a golf tournament being played at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio.
The duo posed for some photographs early in the morning, and Adam King with WBNS 10TV noted Saban told Day that the two coaches have “a lot to talk about.”

Though 2 of the top coaches of the modern era, they have just 1 head-to-head meeting in their careers before Nick Saban retired. That meeting came in the College Football Playoff National Championship following the 2020 season, a blowout win for Saban’s Alabama squad over Ohio State.
Now, Day is coming off his first national title as a head coach, and it is Saban who is trying to help guide the future landscape of college football. While Saban has expressed mixed opinions on serving the Presidential Commission, he has maintained a desire to consult in any way that he can to help improve the sport.
