Published:

Nick Singleton is expected to be available on Saturday when the Nittany Lions take on Penn State, according to a report.

That news was shared by 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz on Friday afternoon. There was some doubt about Singleton’s status after he was absent from practice earlier in the week.

Zenitz’s report does not clarify why Singleton was not present earlier in the week, but Penn State’s star running back is expected to play vs. the Bruins:

This is welcomed news for a Penn State offense that will be going up against a Big Ten foe in UCLA on Saturday.

Singleton is off to an excellent start in 2024 and has been one of the Nittany Lions’ best players on that side of the ball to begin the year. He has 408 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns so far in 2024 while averaging an impressive 7.7 yards per carry. He’s also caught 6 passes for 74 yards and 2 more scores out of the backfield.

Singleton has surpassed 100 scrimmage yards in all 4 of Penn State’s games in 2024. He’s also scored at least 1 touchdown in every contest so far this season.

Penn State will host UCLA at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
