Nico Collins won’t see any action on the field this week, as he has been ruled out for the Houston Texans’ matchup with the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

After suffering a foot injury, the former Michigan WR was absent from practice this week, and was officially ruled out by Houston on Friday. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Texans listed Collins as out on Twitter.

It’s a big loss for the Texans, as Collins has been a rising star for the team this season. The WR has 37 receptions on 66 targets for 481 yards receiving and two TDs in 10 games this season. Collins has been sharing starting WR duties with Brandin Cooks, who has also been ruled out for Sunday’s game against Dallas.

Collins was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Texans after foregoing his senior year in Ann Arbor. In his junior year collegiate campaign, Collins was second on the team in receiving yards with 729 yards, and had 7 touchdowns for the Wolverines.
