Ohio State is still in the race to land the top-ranked cornerback in the 2020 recruiting class.

Thursday afternoon, five-star cornerback Kelee Ringo announced his top five schools in a post on Twitter, and the Buckeyes were one of the finalists for the talented prospect out of Scottsdale, Arizona. Also listed in his top five were Alabama, Georgia, Oregon and Texas.

A 6-foot-2, 205-pound defensive back, Ringo is one of the top 10 players in the 2020 class, coming in at No. 9, according to 247Sports’ Composite rankings. He’s also the top player at his position and the best player from the state of Arizona.

So far in the recruiting cycle, Ohio State has already landed two five-star prospects — wide receiver Julian Fleming and offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. It’s not exactly a bad start for Ryan Day and his staff.

Ohio State currently owns the No. 7 recruiting class in the nation and the best in the B1G. While it’s already loaded with talent, Ringo would still be an incredible addition to the Buckeyes’ 2020 class.
