One of the best defensive tackles in the 2021 class is considering three B1G schools during his recruitment.
Tuesday, four-star defensive tackle Damon Payne tweeted out his top 10 schools. He is including Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State as some of his top choices. Also included in his list was Alabama, Arizona State, Oklahoma, Kentucky, USC, Oregon and LSU.
Payne, a native of Belleville, Michigan, is ranked as the No. 31 overall prospect in the 2021 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s listed as the fifth-best defensive tackle and the No. 1 player from the state.

Payne has received two dozen offers, which includes over half the B1G. In addition to Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State, Payne also received interest from Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota and Purdue.
With such a high ranking, there’s a chance Payne could become a 5-star athlete in the 2021 class, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings. Below are some highlights from the star defensive tackle.
