The Maryland Terrapins started off their season ranked No.21 with a win over Quinnipiac 83-69. Eric Ayala reached 1,000 points in his career with the Terrapins and all was well.
In its second game out, Maryland is trailing George Washington 30-29 at the halftime break on its home floor.
So far, there isn’t really one player that is standing for the Terrapins. However, guard Joe Bamisile is currently leading the way for the Colonials in their upset bid. He has 16 points and is 8-of-13 from the field with 2 rebounds.
Ricky Lindo Jr. is leading the team in rebounds at the half with 5.
Maryland is currently 0-9 from 3-point range. Despite struggling with 3s, Eric Ayala and Qudus Wahab are doing all they can to help. Wahab has 10 points with 9 rebounds at half and is a perfect 5-5 from the floor, while Ayala has 8 points and is shooting 4-7 from the field.
The Colonials just got past St.Francis in their season opener with a 75-72 win at home. Brendan Adams had a career-high 22 points to lift them to victory. He has just 4 points against the Terps on 2-of-6 shooting.
