No. 3 Michigan back in action against No. 21 Wisconsin after long pause

For the first time in three weeks, Michigan’s basketball team will be back on the floor. The Wolverines’ long COVID-19 pause came to an end earlier this week, and they’ll finally be playing a game.
No. 3 Michigan will have a tough test for its first contest after being sidelined, taking on No. 21 Wisconsin in Madison. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. ET with the game airing on CBS. The Wolverines are currently a 1-point favorite in the game.
Michigan was forced to postpone multiple games and has not played since Jan. 22. The Wolverines got a 70-53 road victory over Purdue before being placed on the sidelines for an extended period of time out of an abundance of caution relating to the pandemic. The University of Michigan implemented a department-wide stoppage.
Sunday’s game is the beginning of a tough stretch for Michigan. The Wolverines are scheduled to play three ranked opponents in consecutive games, traveling to No. 21 Wisconsin, returning home to host No. 25 Rutgers then going to Columbus to play No. 4 Ohio State.
Currently, Michigan sits atop the B1G standings with an 8-1 record and is 13-1 overall.
