Addressing the media ahead of Saturday’s season-opener against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Columbus, Ohio State Buckeyes redshirt senior linebacker Tuf Borland expressed the importance of hitting the ground running without having the luxury of non-conference games, via Eleven Warriors’ Dan Hope.
Tuf Borland: “There's no room for error. You don't have a few games to get under your belt before you go out there in Big Ten play. So we know that, we understand that. Our focus is on Nebraska.”

Ohio State is 7-1 all-time vs. Nebraska, including a 5-1 mark since the program joined the Big Ten Conference in 2011.
The Buckeyes routed Scott Frost’s Cornhuskers, 48-7, in the 2019 meeting at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln.
One of the leaders for defensive coordinator/defensive backs Kerry Coombs, who is returning to Columbus after a two-year stint in the National Football League as the Tennessee Titans’ defensive backs coach, Borland finished as Ohio State’s fourth-leading tackler last fall with 55 stops, including three for loss.
Saturday’s clash will kick at 12 p.m. ET on FOX.
The No. 5 Buckeyes’ first road action will come the following Saturday, October 31, Halloween, against the No. 8 Penn State Nittany Lions at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
