The 2020 college football was easy for no one, but some memorable moments were produced by teams and players across the country.
One of the feel-good stories of the season was Pat Fitzgerald and Northwestern. After a 3-9 record in 2019, the Wildcats added transfer quarterback Peyton Ramsey and rattled off a 7-2 record.
That record included a B1G West title, a close but hard-fought loss to Ohio State in the B1G Championship, and a Citrus Bowl victory over Auburn. Though the Wildcats missed out on a few wins, it was a near-perfect performance in a tumultuous year and provided a great sendoff for longtime DC Mike Hankwitz.
As Northwestern prepares for the 2021 season, the team’s main Twitter account dropped a trailer for what promises to be a special look at the memorable 2020 campaign. Titled “Good Clean American Fun,” the documentary promises to showcase some previously unreleased footage and interviews from last year.
The documentary will air this Sunday on NBC Sports Chicago at 3:30 pm CT:
