Northwestern football has had its ups and downs this season, but all of its downs seemed to have happen at the beginning of the season.
The Wildcats started 2018 off with a 1-3 record and didn’t look like a good football team — to say the least. However, since then, Northwestern has gone 5-1 and each of those 6 games have come against Big Ten opponents.
To this point, the team is 6-1 in conference play and has already clinched its spot in the Big Ten Championship. Who will Northwestern face? No. 4 Michigan? No. 10 Ohio State?
It doesn’t matter. The school’s student body is hyped up for the game regardless.
According to Northwestern, more than 3,400 students — nearly 45% of the student body — have signed up for free tickets/transportation to the Big Ten title game.

To have nearly 45 percent of its student body signing up for free tickets and transportation is pretty impressive. Yes, 3,400 students may not compare to the monstrous schools in the conference. But from a statistical standpoint, it’s hard to out-do Northwestern here.
