This is a nice pickup for Pat Fitzgerald and the Wildcats.
Northwestern is having a solid season and improved its record with a 31-17 win over Wisconsin Saturday. The Wildcats have now upset Michigan State and Wisconsin in 2018 and improved to 5-3 on the season.
Following the most recent upset, Northwestern secured another big win on Tuesday. This win came on the recruiting trail as 2019 wide receiver Genson Hooper-Price committed to the Wildcats.
In a note shared to Twitter, Hooper-Price thanked his “Heavenly Father” for the many people in his life. Hooper-Price especially expressed thanks for his “loving mother” while announcing he will be heading to Northwestern.
Hooper-Price is listed as a 3-star prospect and the No. 63 WR for the class of 2019 on the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. At 6-foot-4 and 206 lbs., he is an intriguing blend of size and speed that could wreak havoc on defenders. He also had offers from Notre Dame, Baylor, Arizona, and Arizona State, among others.
