Northwestern lands commitment from in-state LB

Northwestern was able to keep one of the state’s most talented prospects home Saturday.
Three-star LB Michael Jansey committed to the Wildcats over offers from West Virginia, Missouri, Purdue and Iowa State, among others. The 6-foot-2, 210 pound prospect is ranked as the nation’s No. 53 overall OLB and the state’s No. 9 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
The Batavia native became the Wildcats 13th commitment for the class of 2019 after being offered a scholarship May 31.
