The Northwestern QB decision has been made. After keeping the QB battle under wraps for fall camp, Pat Fitzgerald and the Wildcats made the call Saturday ahead of kickoff.
For 2022, the first snap of the season will be going to Ryan Hilinski entering his second season with the program. Hilinski began his career at South Carolina before transferring to Northwestern ahead of the 2021 season.
Kept you waiting long enough.

Last season, Hilinski struggled in 9 appearances while completing 54% of his passes for 978 yards, 3 touchdowns and 4 interceptions. His avererage yards per passing attempt last season was also a disappointing 5.6 yards.
We’ll see if Hilinski can stabilize the offense. Kick-off is right around the corner from Dublin with the broadcast set on FOX.
Entering the game, Nebraska is a double-digit favorite. The Wildcat offense will need to be better to keep things close.
