It’s always recruiting season.

Even when it’s the first day of the bowl season, there is always recruiting that can be done. It’s like cleaning.

There’s always something to do. If you’re Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald, you saw work pay off Saturday afternoon. Brandon Joseph, a 3-star safety from Texas, announced his commitment to the Wildcats:

Joseph had committed to Texas Tech on July 9, but de-committed nearly 5 months later on Dec. 8. Just a week after his de-commitment, the Wildcats got the pleasure of Joseph’s word. As he tweeted, he will also be signing on Dec. 19, which marks the first day of the Early Signing Period.

The period runs from Dec. 19-21.

With Joseph’s commitment, Northwestern’s 2019 class now has 17 members in the fold, ranking No. 46 nationally and No. 11 in the Big Ten.
