Northwestern unveils brilliant patriotic helmet for Heroes Day contest

Coming off of an international season opener in Ireland, Northwestern will continue to roll out its helmets with a theme for Heroes Day.
On Twitter, Northwestern Football posted to its social accounts, unveiling a new helmet that will be worn for this Saturday’s game against Duke.

The Heroes Day game will incorporate an American flag logo on the special edition helmets for the Wildcats.
Heroes Day is a game to celebrate first responders including EMTs, Fire, Police and Military.
During Week 0, the Wildcats took on Nebraska in Dublin, Ireland with an Irish flag-inspired logo on the helmet.

Special edition helmets seem to be the norm for Northwestern football, at least for this season. Who’s to know if they have other theme-inspired helmets for the remainder of this fresh season.
We will keep our eyes glued for another helmet combination.
