Ohio State is focused on getting to 6-0 during a trip to Purdue this weekend, but the recruiting trail never sleeps! On Wednesday, Ohio State landed another piece for the 2024 recruiting class.
The player is Leroy Roker, a 6-foot-1 and 170-pound defensive back out of Bishop Verot High School in Fort Myers, Florida. Roker was a late riser, picking up offers from Iowa, Miami (FL) and Ohio State since the end of August.
The Buckeyes offered on Oct. 3, and Roker followed that up quickly with a visit to Ohio State on Oct. 7. Now, he’s committing to the program to begin his college career.

Roker is a multi-sport athlete and has played basketball and track and field during his high school career. According to the 247 Sports Composite, Roker is a 3-star recruit and the No. 121 safety in the country for the class of 2024.
The addition of Roker brings Ohio State’s 2024 recruiting class up to 23 players. That group so far is ranked No. 2 in the country per the 247 Sports Team Composite and is headlined by 5-star WR Jeremiah Smith.
