Ohio State adds commitment from intriguing DB prospect for class of 2022

Ohio State added a commitment from an intriguing prospect who has made waves in recent weeks.

On Sunday, Florida athlete Kye Stokes announced on his Instagram page that he is committing to Ryan Day and the Buckeyes. Ohio State offered Stokes on April 26.

Stokes is certainly an intriguing prospect that has come on strong recently. According to his 247 page, Stokes has received 11 Power-5 offers since April 17 despite being ranked as a three-star prospect.

Among schools to offer Stokes are some elite programs in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Miami, LSU, and Notre Dame. Indiana, Illinois, and Northwestern are other B1G programs to offer Stokes.

As things currently stand, Stokes is unrated by the industry-generated composite rankings. He is rated as a three-star prospect and the No. 56 ATH for the class of 2022 and No. 77 player from the state of Florida by 247 Sports. Stokes is expected to play safety at the next level.
