Ohio State adds former HS coach as defensive quality control assistant

Miguel Patrick, a former high school football coach in the state of Georgia, has joined Ohio State’s staff as a defensive quality control assistant. Patrick shared the news on his Twitter account Monday.

Patrick was the head coach of Crisp County High School in Cordele, Georgia for the 2021 season. Patrick’s squad went 9-4 in 2021. He announced his departure on Friday.

Patrick was an assistant and head coach at Cedar Grove before taking the Crisp County job. At Cedar Grove, he coached 4-star class of 2023 cornerback prospect Kayin Lee, an Ohio State target. Tim Walton is Lee’s primary OSU recruiter.
