Not many teams have been better than Ohio State against ranked opponents since the start of the 2010 college football season. In fact, there’s only one.

247Sports recently evaluated the eight teams in college football that have enjoyed the most success against ranked opponents since the 2010 season — a little over a decade. Ohio State was high on that list, posting the second-best winning percentage against Top 25 competition in that window.

Alabama was the No. 1 team.

Ohio State has posted a .780 winning percentage against ranked opponents, compiling a record of 39-11. During the 2020 season, the Buckeyes went 4-1 against Top 25 squads, with the lone loss coming to the Crimson Tide in the National Championship Game.

Alabama is 11 percentage points above Ohio State in this area, enjoying a .791 winning percentage against ranked teams. The overall record for the Tide is 57-15, which included a 6-0 mark last year.

The Buckeyes were the only team out of the B1G to make the Top 8 and were ahead of Oklahoma (No. 3), LSU (No. 4) and Clemson (No. 5).
