Mark you calendars, Buckeye fans, Ohio State has announced the date for its annual spring game.
According to Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors, Ohio State’s spring game has been set for Saturday, April 11. Practices will begin the week of March 2.
This will mark Ryan Day’s second spring season as the head coach at Ohio State. Last season, Day replaced Urban Meyer and was the leader immediately following the Buckeyes’ Rose Bowl victory over Washington.
Ohio State completed the 2019 season with a 13-1 record, a third-straight B1G title and a trip to the College Football Playoff. The Buckeyes’ season ended with a 29-23 loss to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl, the only defeat of the year.
With so many moving parts this offseason, there’s a lot of interest to see what Day can do in his second year, as he must replace key talents like Chase Young, J.K. Dobbins and Jeff Okudah, as well as many others.
The Buckeyes will also have 14 early enrollees this spring who will be getting their first taste of college football in Columbus.
A start time for the annual spring game has not yet been announced.
