Don’t worry, Ohio State has no plans to cancel its spring game — unlike several other programs in the Big Ten.

No, instead, the Buckeyes have announced the upcoming spring game will kickoff at 11:45 a.m. The decision to move the spring game up was made to avoid potential nasty weather that is expected to hit Columbus later in the day. Stadium gates will open at 10 a.m. and parking lots will open at 6 a.m.

The school issued the following statement along with the announcement of the new kickoff time for the spring game:

The safety of our fans and visitors is our number one priority and The Ohio State University Department of Athletics is prepared to communicate with fans if and when inclement weather interferes with events at Ohio Stadium.

The game will also be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
