Ohio State and Michigan State will kickoff in primetime this season in Columbus.
The Buckeyes announced that NBC would televise the game, which is set for 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 11. The Buckeyes have won 7 straight in the series, including last year’s 49-20 decision. Ohio State leads the overall series 36-15.
The Spartans will be happy to play the Buckeyes without CJ Stroud after Stroud was 21 of 26 for 361 yards last season with 6 TDs and an interception. He became the first player in program history to throw 6 touchdowns in 3 games, an accomplishment he pulled off in consecutive games against Michigan State.
The regular season night games have been few and far between in the series. Some recent examples were a 2013 meeting in the B1G title game, a 2014 game in East Lansing and a 2019 game in Columbus.
Because of weather-related concerns, this is the Buckeyes’ first evening kickoff time in November since a home game against Rutgers in 2020.
Michigan State last won in Ohio Stadium in 2015, 17-14, and Ohio State has won the 3 meetings in Columbus since: 48-3, 34-10 and 56-7.
