Ohio State’s marching band received a major shoutout from Tom Cruise because of the Top Gun halftime show performance.
Prior to the Rose Bowl Game, Ohio State’s marching band received shirts and a movie screening for Top Gun Maverick. “The Best Damn Band in the Land” posted about the special gifts on Tuesday morning.

Shortly after thanking Cruise for his generosity, the Hollywood star chimed in with a tweet.
“Thank you for the amazing Top Gun tribute,” Cruise wrote on Twitter. “And good luck in the Rose Bowl!”
Ohio State is in Pasadena to participate in this year’s Rose Bowl Game following a 10-2 campaign in 2021. The Buckeyes will take on Utah in the most iconic postseason game in college football.
