Ohio State basketball lands in Top 5 for 4-star forward in 2025 class

Ohio State is in the running for one of the top big men in the class of 2025.
With his junior season drawing closer, Glen Head (N.Y.) Long Island Lutheran forward Alier Maluk revealed his top 5 schools on Thursday. Ohio State is in the mix for his services along with Florida State, Oregon, Pitt, and LSU.

Maluk, a 6-foot-9, 180-pounder, is originally from the Pittsburgh area and played for Imani Christian Academy but has transferred to Long Island Lutheran in New York per a post on X in August. He took an official visit to Florida State but has yet to schedule one to Ohio State this point.
Maluk is a 4-star prospect and rated the No. 41 player in the country by 247Sports’ Composite. He is considered the No. 5 center nationally.
Along with his 5 finalists, Maluk holds offers from Duke, Penn State, West Virginia, Seton Hall, and Texas A&M. Kentucky has also shown interest but has not offered.
