Ohio State’s secondary has received some good news. Thursday night, Cameron Brown announced his decision on the 2022 season.

The Ohio State cornerback will be in a Buckeye uniform for one more season. Brown made the announcement with a post on Twitter on Thursday night. It’s a huge boost to the secondary in Columbus.

Brown played in 9 games for the Buckeyes during the 2021 campaign and was credited with 21 tackles, 8 passes defended and an interception. Ohio State ended the year with a 10-2 record.

In Ohio State’s 33-24 victory over Penn State, Brown tallied 4 tackles, a pass break-up and an interception. He registered a season-high 6 tackles in a win over Tulsa and broke a season-best 3 passes defended in a loss to Oregon.

Over his 4-year career with the Buckeyes, Brown has played in 27 games and has racked up 37 stops. He has 9 pass break-ups, 2 tackles for loss and the lone pick, as well.

The return of Brown will give Ohio State some experience in the secondary for the 2022 season.
