Ohio State coach Ryan Day hints at future prime-time home game on Buckeyes’ schedule

Ohio State is constantly one of the best recruiting programs in the nation annually. Ohio State hit a bump in the road with an early season loss to Oregon but responded with a three-game winning streak.
A factor that helps Ohio State with recruiting is having numerous primetime games each season. During his press conference on Oct. 7, Ohio State coach Ryan Day was asked if the lack of night games this season is making a difference on the recruiting trail.
In his answer, Day hinted that a night game could be on the horizon.
Asked about whether a lack of night games is impacting recruiting, Ryan Day hints at the possibility of Ohio State having another night game this year.

The most logical primetime matchup would be Oct. 30 vs. visiting Penn State.
In the meantime, next up for Ohio State is a home matchup vs. conference foe Maryland on Oct. 9 (Noon EST, FOX). Maryland was routed 51-14 by Iowa for its first loss of the season.
Ohio State is 6-0 all-time vs. Maryland.
