It could be a rough start to the season for Ohio State basketball.

On Thursday, head coach Chris Holtmann shared the status for Justice Sueing and Eugene Brown, 2 of the Buckeyes 3 returners. It’s unclear at this time if Sueing or Brown will be able to play in the season opener next week.

Sueing missed all but 2 games last season due to an abdominal injury, and 2 ankle sprains in the preseason are currently keeping him from play.  In his 2020 season with the Buckeyes, the guard was third on Ohio State in scoring with 10.7 points per game.

Brown missed multiple games last season while going through concussion protocol, and continues to go through the process. The junior guard started 10 games for the Buckeyes last year, averaging 3.5 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

Ohio State will take on Robert Morris in the season-opener on Monday.
