Jonathon Cooper is a next-level talent for Ohio State.

Have you seen a Buckeyes game this year? If you have, you wouldn’t have seen Cooper playing. However, if you’ve seen Buckeye games the last few years, you would have seen Cooper. The defensive end is now a senior and a captain for the scarlet and gray.

Players look up to him. As they should.

And on Saturday night, they will finally be able to play with him again, as Cooper is expected to make his first appearance this season:

Above is Ohio State’s updated depth chart. You can see that along with Chase Young at defensive end, Cooper’s name appears at the opposite end spot. Having both of them healthy and active only adds to a Buckeye defense that has seen much improvement from a season ago.

Right tackle Branden Bowen is listed as a game-time decision. Players listed as unavailable for Saturday night’s game at Nebraska include:

  • WR Kamryn Babb
  • DT Noah Donald
  • DB Ronnie Hickman
  • LB Teradja Mitchell
  • H-B C.J. Saunders
  • DE Tyreke Smith
  • DT Taron Vincent

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET in Lincoln and the game will be televised on ABC.
