Ohio State DE to miss camp, most of 2021 season with injury

Ohio State coach Ryan Day announced on Wednesday that defensive end Tyler Day will miss camp and most the 2021 season due to an undisclosed injury.
Day did not provide any specifics on the injury, but does not expect Friday to return anytime soon. The news comes after the Buckeyes completed their first day of training camp.

The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Friday is a senior from Ramsey, NJ. Friday has appeared in 25 games and amassed 18 tackles, three sacks, four tackles for a loss, and a fumble recovery. One of those sacks came in a CFP semifinal vs. Clemson.
Friday arrived at Ohio State as a four-star prospect and the nation’s No. 6 defensive tackle, according to 247Sports.
Ohio State is coming off a season in which they lost in the national championship game to Alabama. Ohio State begins this season with a FOX Thursday primetime matchup at Minnesota on Sept. 2 (8 p.m. EST).
