Ohio State came out of Week 7 with a spotless record and an impressive showing during the win over Purdue. Looking for a hot start to the game, the Buckeyes hit the ground running and never looked back in the 41-7 win.
The good news is Ryan Day’s squad aced a road test with focus before turning attention to a visit from Penn State. However, the team will hope to get some of the running back room healthy after the injuries started to pile up this weekend.
Coming out of the weekend, Ohio State handed out its Players of the Game awards for the victory over Purdue. Offensively, the honor goes to Cade Stover.
While Marvin Harrison Jr. led the way in the receiving game, Stover finished with 4 catches for 53 yards and 2 touchdowns. The 2 touchdowns match Stover’s career-high, also set on 2 other occasions during the 2022 season.
