Have you ever attended an Ohio State game and been frustrated with spotty Internet a cell phone reception? Well, that shouldn’t be a problem for much longer.

Tuesday, Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith tweeted out that Ohio Stadium is getting an upgrade just a month before the season. Wi-Fi is currently being installed at “The Horseshoe.”

Now you’ll be able to get all your Twitter, Facebook and Instagram updates more consistently during the game. And that’s what we all want, right?

With all the amenities at college football stadiums, it seems odd that it’s taken so long for so many programs to install Wi-Fi throughout their venues. Then again, it may discourage a fanbase from being as engaged as what’s happening on the field.

That probably won’t be an issue in Columbus, though.

It’s a simple convenience, but Ohio State is finally taking advantage. We’ll see how much fans enjoy the new amenity this fall.
