If you operate under the assumption that “Vegas knows” when it comes to early betting lines for the upcoming college football season, then that’s really good news for Ohio State.
We’re still six months away from the kickoff of the 2020 B1G football season, but it’s never too early to look at some betting lines. And, as of right now, the Buckeyes will be favored in every contest for the year.
FOX Bet recently released some early betting lines for the 2020 college football season, primarily highlighting the most appealing and interesting games for the fall. Ohio State was mentioned plenty, and was listed as an early favorite in the biggest games of the season.
Here’s a look at the early lines for some of the Buckeyes’ biggest challenges next fall:
- Sept. 12: Ohio State (-2.5) vs. Oregon
- Oct. 10: Iowa vs. Ohio State (-13.5)
- Oct. 24: Ohio State (-1.5) vs. Penn State
- Oct. 31: Nebraska vs. Ohio State (-12.5)
- Nov. 28: Michigan vs. Ohio State (-8.5)
Ohio State’s closest calls come early in the season against Oregon (Week 2) and a road trip to Penn State in late October. The Bucks are listed as a two-score favorite in games against Iowa, Nebraska and Michigan.
While other lines aren’t yet listed, it’s safe to assume that if Ohio State is a favorite in those five games, they’ll easily be a favorite in the seven remaining contests against Bowling Green, Buffalo, Rutgers, Michigan State, Indiana, Maryland and Illinois.
