There’s another member of Ohio State’s football team that can officially call himself a Buckeye.
Wednesday morning, Ohio State announced that freshman defensive back Andrew Moore has become the latest player to shed his black stripe. It comes at a time when the team is making its final push for the B1G Championship Game and a trip to the College Football Playoff.
Below is the video shared by Ohio State on Wednesday morning. The black stripe tradition dates back to Urban Meyer’s time in Columbus.

It’s an awesome moment for each player to shed his black stripe, regardless of when it happens.
Ohio State is currently at 8-1 on the season and is playing like one of the hottest teams in the country. The Buckeyes have a tough final stretch, playing No. 19 Purdue, No. 7 Michigan State and No. 6 Michigan in the final 3 weeks.
