Ohio State added another top prospect to its already impressive 2018 class.

Tuesday evening, four-star defensive back Tyreke Johnson announced his decision, choosing the Buckeyes over several other offers. He becomes the 19th member of Ohio State’s class.

With Johnson’s commitment, Ohio State now owns the top recruiting class in 2018.

Johnson is ranked as a top 40 prospect nationally and is tabbed as the seventh-best player out of Florida, according to 247Sports. He had 25 total offers. Johnson chose Ohio State over Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, LSU and Notre Dame, among others.

Johnson was also named to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, which will be played on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018.

According to 247Sports, Johnson visited Columbus for Ohio State’s top five clash with Penn State, a game the Buckeyes won in thrilling fashion.
