In Ohio State’s football facility, there are plenty of items to keep players focused on the team’s biggest rival. One of those is a countdown clock, which constantly keeps track of when the Buckeyes are set to take on Michigan.
It didn’t take long for the Buckeyes to update that clock.
On Wednesday morning, the B1G released its new schedule for the 2020 season. One of the major changes to the 10-game, conference-only schedule for the fall was that the Ohio State-Michigan game was not scheduled for the final weekend of the regular season.
For the first time since 1942, “The Game” won’t close out the regular season in the B1G. So, after receiving the news, Ohio State had to update its countdown clock. It came shortly after the schedule was released.

Ohio State will now host Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 24. That’s set to be Week 8 of the B1G football season.
The decision to move the game up was to protect one of the B1G’s greatest rivalry contests. In the event that one or both teams need to cancel, there are plenty of make-up dates available in the future.
Ohio State has defeated Michigan eight straight times.
