Ohio State wrapped up its regular season with a dominant showing in The Game, and the Buckeyes maintained a stranglehold on the top spot for ESPN’s SP+ Rankings.
Ryan Day’s squad has been rolling all season long with strong showings on both sides of the ball. Based on the SP+ system, the Buckeyes have the No. 4 rated offense and the No. 2 rated defense. They are the only team with a top-5 mark on both sides of the ball.
Overall, Ohio State is 3.5 points better on the system than the next closest team.
Here is where the seven B1G teams checked in on the list:
- No. 1 – Ohio State
- No. 9 – Penn State
- No. 10 – Wisconsin
- No. 12 – Michigan
- No. 17 – Minnesota
- No. 20 – Iowa
- No. 24 – Indiana
ESPN’s Bill Connelly tweeted out the full SP+ list of teams:

* These ratings probably don't help with the OU-Utah debate
* Air Force has had an underratedly (it's a word now) amazing year
* UCF: as good as ever
* Six conference title games projected within a TD? I'll take it.https://t.co/H3dK9uGiba pic.twitter.com/pWq9iOOL8X— Bill Connelly (@ESPN_BillC) December 1, 2019
