The line has been set for the No. 10 Ohio State versus Akron game in Columbus this next Saturday, and it isn’t close. According to FanDuel, Ohio State is currently a 48.5-point favor as they host Akron in Week 4.

It’s a pretty substantial number considering how much the Buckeyes have struggled the last two weeks. It also speaks to the major talent discrepancy between the two programs.

The Buckeyes are looking for consistency on both sides of the ball as they play their final nonconference game of the 2021 season against Akron. On Saturday, Ohio State defeated Tulsa 41-20 in a tough game at home one week after losing to the Oregon Ducks.

Akron is currently 1-2, with their only win being on Saturday at home against the Bryant Bulldogs 35-14. In week one, the Zips were blown out on the road to the Auburn Tigers 60-10. The following week, Akron lost at home 45-24 to the Temple Owls.

Saturday’s game will be the ninth meeting all-time, with Ohio State owning a 7-1 advantage. The last time the Buckeyes and Zips played was in 2011.
