Ohio State’s Noah Ruggles got permission to miss spring practice from HC Ryan Day. Now that he has decided to come back to Columbus for 1 more season, he is more ready than ever per Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors.

Ruggles will be going into his 6th season of eligibility, and his 2nd season with the Buckeyes. He was traveling in the spring to decide on whether or not he should come back for another year. It sounds like he is making the right decision.

“I’m just happy to be back here now, honestly. I was itching to get back,” Ruggles said Friday during the Special Skills Football Invitational. “We had a week off the other week, and I found myself, I was back at home in Tampa and I found myself just wanting to get back here with the guys, honestly.

In the end, he stated that Columbus felt like home for him and made his decision that much easier. The connections and friends he has made since coming to Ohio State would make it hard for him to say no to another season with the Buckeyes it seems. Ruggles believes that there are very few places likes Ohio State, and that’s what drew him back.

“This feels like home and I was welcomed back with open arms. This place is so special. And it’s just a family here. I mean, a lot of places talk about family but this place, it’s unreal. It’s unbelievable. I don’t think there’s anything like it.”
