Ohio State lands commitment from 4-star DL out of Alabama

Ohio State went into SEC country and landed an elite recruit for its 2027 class.
Karlos May is the newest Ohio State commitment. May verbally pledged to the Buckeyes in a live announcement on Saturday.
Out of Birmingham (Alabama) Ramsay High School, May is listed at over 6-3 and 305 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, May is rated 4-stars, the No. 5 player in the state of Alabama, No. 15 defensive lineman and No. 135 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.
As one of the top defensive line recruits in the country, May had scholarship offers from coast to coast. Alabama, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon and Texas were among the programs that showed interest.
During the spring/summer visit season, May checked out Ohio State, Florida State, Georgia and Auburn. On Saturday, he locked up a spot in OSU’s 2027 class.

With May on board, Ohio State now has 19 verbal commitments for 2027. The class ranks No. 7 nationally on the Composite.
