Sunday was a good day for Urban Meyer on the recruiting trail. The Buckeyes received a verbal pledge from another four-star prospect.

On Sunday, L’Christian “Blue” Smith committed to Ohio State, choosing the Buckeyes over offers from eight other B1G programs, including, Michigan and Penn State. Tennessee, Kentucky and Alabama were all in the mix, as well.

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound Smith is ranked as the fourth-best athlete in the 2018 recruiting class and is the No. 4 prospect out of Ohio. Nationally, the receiver ranks at No. 119, according to 247Sports.

This is another addition to an already-stacked Ohio State class. The Buckeyes currently own the No. 1 recruiting class for 2018. Smith becomes the 17th player to commit, with 15 having either four-star or five-star rankings.
