Ohio State has one extra thing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving! It comes in a fresh commitment on the recruiting trail out of Michigan.
The player is Gabe VanSickle, an interior offensive line prospect out of Coopersville (Mi.) High School. He held other B1G offers from Northwestern and Indiana and originally committed to the Wildcats in May.
VanSickle officially landed an offer from Ohio State early in November and took an official visit to Columbus shortly after. That visit paid off with VanSickle now committed to the Buckeyes.

VanSickle is listed at 6-foot-5 and 283 as a 3-star prospect and is highly regarded as an IOL recruit for the class of 2024. According to the 247 Sports Composite, VanSickle is the 41st IOL in the country and the No. 13 player out of Michigan for the cycle.
The pickup is a nice one for Ohio State OL coach Justin Frye and adds to an elite 2024 recruiting class for Ryan Day’s staff. As things currently stand, Ohio State holds the No. 2 recruiting class in the country per the 247 Sports Team Composite.
