Ohio State is currently working on compiling the 2024 recruiting class, but time never stops for prospects in future classes. Some players in the 2025 recruiting class are making updates to their recruitment, including one elite Edge prospect out of Georgia.
The player is London Merritt, a 6-foot-3 and 230-pound prospect out of Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. Merritt announced a top-12 list he will be focusing on with Ohio State making the cut.
USC — a program that will be in the B1G in 2025 — also made the cut. Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Notre Dame, UNC, Tennessee, Colorado, Florida, LSU and Texas A&M round out list of heavy hitters pursuing Merritt.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Merritt is a 4-star prospect and the 56th overall player in the country for the class of 2025. He’s also rated as the No. 8 Edge recruit for the cycle.
We’ll see how Merritt’s recruitment shapes up with plenty of time before he reaches a final decision.
