Ohio State has tied the 2004 Buckeyes squad with a program-record 14 players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Buckeyes fell just 1 player shy of matching Georgia in 2022 for the most in a single draft in the 7-round era (which dates to 1994). Ohio State looked like it might take the record, with 13 picks through the first 5 rounds, but it had only 1 selection — quarterback Will Howard — in the final 2 rounds of the draft.

Still, the Buckeyes’ 14 selections were the most of any team at this year’s event.

There have only been 9 instances in the 7-round draft era of a single school producing at least 12 picks in the same draft. Ohio State has now accounted for 3 of them.

(Texas owns the all-time record for selections in a single draft, regardless of era. The Longhorns had 17 players drafted in the 12-round 1984 NFL Draft.)

Emeka Egbuka became the first Ohio State player of the draft to be selected, going 19th overall to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during Thursday’s first round. Egbuka was one of 4 Buckeyes to be drafted on the opening night, as guard Donovan Jackson (24th, Minnesota Vikings), defensive tackle Tyleik Williams (28th, Detroit Lions), and offensive tackle Josh Simmons (32nd, Kansas City Chiefs) all had their names called during the first round.

Three Buckeyes were taken in Round 2, led by Quinshon Judkins (36th, Cleveland Browns). Rounds 4 and 5 each saw 3 more Buckeyes taken.

Here’s a list of every Buckeye taken in the 2025 NFL Draft:
