Ohio State named their standout performers from this past weekend’s home win over Rutgers, this as the Buckeyes continue their flawless start to the season.
Now 3-0, Ohio State pulled away early in what would become a 49-27 win over Rutgers on Saturday night. It was another sensational performance from quarterback Justin Fields, who is now a Heisman frontrunner following another big game.
Fields was named the team’s Co-Offensive Player of the Week following his 24-of-28 for 315 yards with five touchdowns showing against Rutgers. He has yet to throw an interception this season.
With the win, Ohio State stayed at No. 3 in the polls.

But it was more than just Fields dominance in Ohio State’s win. Offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere shared the offensive honors with his quarterback after playing 70 snaps and having six knockdowns.
It was an all-around solid performance from Tuf Borland, a starting linebacker, who had five tackles in pacing an Ohio State defense that was dominant in the first half. He was named the Defensive Player of the Game as well as the Special Teams Player of the Game.
Played so well we gave him 2️⃣ awards 👀👀
