The B1G dropped its revised schedule and Ohio State is a major benefactor of the modifications. Ohio State previously kicked off the season on the road at Michigan State and Penn State.

However, now Ohio State will instead open with five straight home games: vs. Notre Dame, Arkansas State, Toledo, Wisconsin, and Rutgers.

Ohio State is coming off a season in which they posted an 11-2 record to finish ranked sixth in the nation. Ohio State’s lone losses came vs. Oregon on Sept. 11 and vs. B1G rival Michigan in the regular season finale on Nov. 27. This was the first loss vs. the Wolverines in a decade. Ohio State capped off the season by edging Utah in the Rose Bowl.

Ohio State hasn’t posted a losing season since going 6-7 in 2011, the lone year under Luke Fickell. Since then, Ohio State has lost a total of 13 games in the last decade.
